Minimum Qualification Required: BSc or equivalent + 2 years experience in Software Development or communication technology research.
Major Duties
The role will involve typical s/w engineering activities such as system design, development, unit test case design, development and execution. The successful applicant must be a self-starter with enthusiasm and creativity to tackle novel problems and immediately contribute to the team. They should also have good communication skills and work well within a team and with other stakeholders such as testers, researchers, etc.
The successful candidate will join a team of professional researchers working on a range of projects in Telecommunication and Energy research. The team spans basic research through applied research to product commercialization.
The role may involve some travel.

Required Skills
Java, XML, networking protocols and technologies.
Preferred
A proven track record in software development. A knowledge of network management tools and utilities. A knowledge of networking protocols such as SNMP. An understanding of Telecommunications Network principles such as routing, congestion and admission control. Experience with agile development methodologies. Knowledge of C and familiarity of LINUX kernel code development would be an advantage.
