Embedded Senior System S/W Engineer - NVIDIA


Job Description

Looking a senior system software engineer with the low level experience and programming skills to help us develop fast and small embedded systems. Position is in fast growing dynamic Embedded team in NVIDIA, a "company within a company" with a start-up attitude, a great team environment, and intense, game-changing market focus. The embedded team is penetrating new markets with NVIDIA GPUs, bringing graphcs, multimedia, and compute to a new level

Desired Skills & Experience

Work includes device driver development, hardware configuration and performance tuning, writing/modifying bootloaders, test suites and applications, and tuning/augmenting OS kernels.


The candidate should be a strong system programmer, with a working knowledge of the internals of complex
operating systems using 32 bit CPUs and virtual memory. System level experience with Linux is a must. An ideal candidate has experience writing device drivers for a variety of embedded devices, and working with embedded OS kernels; adding features, fixing bugs, or tuning kernels and other system software for size and speed.


Candidate should be familar with multiprocessing programing, comfortable with task scheduling,
locks, mutexes, semaphores, etc. Experience with embedded OSes, such as QNX, Embedded Linux, etc. is a big plus. Extensive working knowledge of hardware and experience working with embedded hardware platforms also a plus.


Any candidate should be comfortable working in a team, be a great communicator, and have the skills and experience to help us deliver high quality software on a schedule
