Job Description

·         The Main role of the individual is to provide Front Office Network Operation 

           services

·         A Professional service engineer with minimum 2-3 years working experience as 

          GNOC/NOC/Front Office Engineer

·         Candidate must be familiar with day to day NOC working environment.

·         Strong technical skills as specified and good hands-on working experience in the 

          competence required is essential

·         Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to interact and interface with various 

          level of management is necessary

Skills

• Alarm Monitoring and First level trouble shooting of Transmission and Datacom services using T-2000, U-2000/N-2000 for routine operation and maintenance, fault management and performance measurement. First level troubleshooting OSN3500, OSN1500 and fault escalation.
• Working experience on Harris-Stratex (Quadralink, Globestar,Microstar, DXR, XP4, Eclipse, TRuepoint, etc.) equipment
• Configuration of MW links Huawei RTN600 and RTN900 series for 2G & 3G services.
• Configuration of Ethernet LAN services and Huawei OSN1500, 3500 (SDH, PDH).
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of Internet traffic using CACTI tool.
• Knowledge of Huawei NE80 and NE5000 routers.
• Knowledge of DWDM Huawei OSN 6800.
• Daily Microwave RSL report of whole network and Router traffic stats report preparation.
• Identify the location and severity (Critical/Major/Minor) of the alarm or event of systems and initiate recovery actions, notification procedures if required.
• Fault Management / Trouble Ticket management using OSS systems.
• First and second line fault Diagnostics, troubleshoot and escalate (If required) to concerned department and follow-up the issue to recover the alarms in agreed SLA.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Alcatel, NEC, Ericsson, Motorola transmission equipment will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of RAN equipment and monitoring systems M2000

Job Requirements

• Candidate will work in shifts 24x7 as per assigned shift roasters.
• Occasionally willing to support the team on call after the shift.
• Should have good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Candidate will be responsible for technical and management escalations.
• Candidate to participate and coordinate day-to-day planned activities
• Candidate will create performance reports on daily, weekly and monthly.
