Our client, a leading Oil and Gas operator is currently recruiting for a Civil Project Engineer to fill a position on a major LNG project.

Job Description

The position primarily focuses on the planning and preparation of site construction, including arrangement of required approvals & permits, coordination with local stakeholders. This

Position is located in Asia with the requirement to travel to Perth/Darwin, Australia.

Key responsibilities

·          Supervision of pre-EPC activities, such as site surveying.
·          Supervision of Civil construction in EPC phase.
·          Coordination with the relevant authorities.
·          Help, advise, approve and supervise the contractor's design, planning and field

           activities as for Civil.
·          Ensure that interfaces with other departments and related authorities are properly 

           control.
·          Supervise OBT (Open Book Tendering) process by OBT Contractor regarding Civil and

           associated issues. OBT includes development of sub-contract packages, evaluation of

           bids and negotiation with bidders.
·          Review and comment of contractors / suppliers documentation in a timely manner.
·          Participate in Design Reviews and Constructability Reviews etc.
·          Coordinate discipline comments on Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely

           manner.

Job Requirements

The following Qualifications and Experience are a requirement of this position:

·          Bachelor Degree. Relevant tertiary qualification and professional membership.
·          Good team player.
·          Willing for assignment in Asis during the project OBT phase, and Darwin during 

           execution phase.
·          The candidate should be willing for site assignment as the requirement arises.
·          Minimum 10 years in Civil design, construction and project management.
·          Familiar with Australian codes and regulations.
·          Preferable to be familiar with Oil & Gas industry.
·          Preferable having experience of Civil projects in Northern Territory.
