Senior Project Manager Blizzard Software Development (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. - China


Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will join the Blizzard Entertainment China team to provide product focus management for business operations across HQ, China office and partners, mainly serves as project owner in terms of initiation, execution, partner communication and back for Biz Ops Director as well as potential other functional director.


Responsibilities
  • Support the Biz Ops Director as needed across broad range of project management activities. 
  • Act as central point of contact and champion of a specific product (StarCraft II or World of Warcraft) with HQ and partners, ensure that all commitments on both sides are being addressed.




  • Develop project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables per business requirement.
  • Drive smooth day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot issues on a proactive basis and ensure that plans are put in place and executed in order to provide timely resolution.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with functional organizations in the CN and the US to ensure that issues are given visibility and that support is in place as needed.
  • Ensure that resource requirements are anticipated in advance in order to be in place when needed.
  •  Lead weekly report meeting to update management on the status of current projects.
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years relevant management or related experience (i.e. strategic marketing, consulting, operations  or banking)
  • International business experience and intercultural communication skills (i.e. worked overseas or MNC)
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; Fluent in English and Mandarin both spoken and written
  • Proven experience managing schedules and employees to achieve desired results
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with departmental, regional, and global leads
  • Willingness to travel
  • Passion for games


Pluses
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Experience with game industry
  • Familiarity with massively multiplayer online games and RTS games
